Today was Halloween, which is incidentally my favourite holiday, and I had a work deadline.
And I had to finish posting spooky stories on my blog for my 13 Days of Halloween flash fiction event…and…
Yeah, this is basically the part where I make excuses for not getting anything done on my novel.
If anything, these past two weeks have been very valuable in one huge way: Revealing how little time I have for my novel!
I mean, if this is me trying to carve out an hour or two a day…then no wonder I wasn’t making progress before when I wasn’t on a writing challenge!
Recognizing that, I now have something concrete to work with in improving my progress. Honestly, the idea kind of excites me. Like…now I know the problem. Now I can fix it.
Tomorrow, NaNoWriMo begins. I’ll be using it to stay motivated and push myself farther. November is a whole new, fresh month–let’s see what I can get done in that time!
Alright, I’m off to bed. I hope everyone had a blast this Halloween–don’t make yourself sick on all that candy!
